Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) will go all out to defend all state seats traditionally allocated to the party during GE14.

Executive deputy president Maximus Ongkili said the seats included Kadamaian, which PBS had lost to PKR in GE13.

Speaking after launching the PBS Kadamaian annual general meeting in Kota Belud, Ongkili urged all party members, both at branch and division levels, to strengthen their machinery and prepare for the coming election.

“Start early. There is no time to waste. We need to win the peoples' hearts and trust to recapture the Kadamaian seat,” said the energy, green technology and water minister, who was recently delegated the task of carrying out the duties of the president.

In urging this, he also stressed the importance of unity and solidarity among PBS members at all levels, to ensure victory for the BN in Kadamaian, which falls under the Kota Belud parliamentary constituency.

In GE13, PKR’s Jeremy Malajad won the Kadamaian state seat with a 889-vote majority in a four-cornered fight, which included PBS candidate Herbert Timbun Lagadan.

Malajad later resigned from PKR and joined Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah.
