Penang Gerakan Youth wants to know if Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng will do a U-turn now, after Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUCG) agreed to pay compensation to crane accident victim Chin Khoon Sing’s family.

The Chinese firm was part of Consortium Zenith-BUCG, which had been awarded the project to construct the RM6.3 billion undersea tunnel from Gurney Drive to Butterworth.

Gerakan state acting Youth chief Jason Loo said Chin’s family had issued a statement saying BUCG has been assisting and following up with them since the accident.
