YOURSAY | 'Don't ridicule grassroots supporters who had ensured Umno victories.'

Veteran who quit Umno a 'frustrated taxi driver', says Nazri

Victor Johan: Umno supreme council member Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz is ridiculing those very grassroots supporters, usually comprising of low to middle class Malays, who have previously ensured that Umno wins in general elections.

These are the very citizens who had worked hard to ensure that Umno elite members control the Malaysian government.

This seemingly 'frustrated' ex-Umno elected politician had decided to earn a decent income as a taxi driver instead of obtaining dubious government contracts upon his retirement from the elected position.

The rakyat, especially those still supporting Umno and BN component parties, should wake up and vote these politicians out in the next GE14 and help to put right the future governance of this beloved nation.

This will give the opportunity for the new coalition government to take all previous elected and appointed government officials, including MO1, through judicial proceedings, and recover the stolen and embezzled wealth of the nation and its people.

RM2.6 billion Turkey Haram: Nazri, it is those simple folk like taxi drivers, fishermen and rubber tappers who are providing a lifeline for Umno. You are indeed an ungrateful wretch.

We Are Concerned: You are where you are because of taxi drivers. Value them whether they are in or out of Umno.

Slumdog: These Umno members are the foot soldiers and grassroots of the organisation. They do all the donkey work and Nazri is so pompous and dismissive by calling one of them a "frustrated taxi driver". Like others have said, at least they do an honest day’s work.

MTU: The poor taxi driver will be in heaven, but the corrupt Umno leaders will rot in hell for eternity. That I am 100 percent sure.

Sarawakian: Salute to Gelang Patah Umno permanent chairperson Baharom Abdul Ghani and Kulai Umno deputy chief Tosrin Jarvanti .

At least you are prepared to put in an honest day's work instead of fishing for dedak.

Driving a taxi beats what Ali Tinju is doing anytime. If you stand under Bersatu in GE14, I won't hesitate to give you my vote.

Headhunter: Umno's greatest enemies are from within. No, I didn't mean those who left or intend to leave. I'm talking about those arrogant senior leaders like Nazri with their juvenile statements and their blind loyalty to their corrupt leader.

But despair not, I say let them carry on with their stupid ways because the rest of us will all benefit from it eventually, when Umno self-destructs.

Justine Gow: Taxi drivers should rise up and vote against his party in GE14. Earning an honest living by driving a taxi is infinitely many times better than stealing money from the people and imposing hardship on them through taxes to cover up for the stolen money.

Anonymous #03815719: Don't belittle your members and be arrogant. You will regret later, after GE14.

Rakyat-in-grief: Nazri, the false pride and arrogance of people like you in Umno will be causing Umno to close shop soon.

GE14NOW!: Just goes to show - for as long as you support them they will say wonderful things about you. The moment you stop supporting them, they malign you.

Umno politicians use people as chattels. Come GE14 we will show them the door out of Parliament, and into Sg Buloh prison for some of them.

Anonymous_1371479577: What is wrong being a taxi driver? Aren't taxi drivers hardworking people trying to make an honest living?

Fairnsquare: Frustrated taxi drivers and others alike, are the ones who voted in Umno members, even those in the supreme council.

When an elected officer talks down to his electorate, it means it is time for him to go. Taxi drivers and we, the rakyat, will decide who the mighty are.

Ash Burn: This is pure bodoh sombong. Really Nazri, your nervousness is obvious. You know you are defending the indefensible.

Umno has been exploiting these innocent folks for their support and only to be looked down upon now. Anyway taxi drivers have more dignity and pride than thieves in Umno, especially that MO1.

Kneazle: Still remember this arrogant fellow shouted in Parliament before 2008 election, that the opposition would be wiped out. Everyone remembers what happened after the election.

Abdul Kadir Ali: He always talks like a king. One day you will face the same situation. Just wait and see. Anyhow, thanks for insulting taxi drivers.

JD Lovrenciear: Why do Umno leaders always insult leaders and supporters of Umno who express disappointment? When will our Malay brethren wake up?

Anonymous_1371563774: Being a taxi driver is way more halal than MO1 and his 'donations'.
