Defamation trial, or chance to run down Dr M-Anwar alliance?

YOURSAY | 'Looks more like Anwar is on trial than Khairy.'

Rep: Anwar ran down Dr M behind his back

P Dev Anand Pillai: Oh please, running one down behind his back is what all aspiring leaders do. Is this something new?

Senior: What is this? The trial is a defamation suit by PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim against Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin - what has Anwar and former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad's relationship got to do with it?

I would rule it as "immaterial, irrelevant and inadmissible" under the Evidence Act.

Headhunter: What have all these disclosures to do with Anwar's case brought against Khairy? It looks more like his lawyer is using the case as his personal vendetta and is politically motivated to do the maximum damage to Anwar.

Looks more like Anwar is on trial than Khairy.

Ruslan Bahari: Why would this be a surprise to anyone? I am sure those who sided with Anwar in 1998 did the same about Mahathir. Some are today in cabinet. While Anwar ran down Mahathir, the reverse could have also been true.

There are never permanent enemies in politics. Or friends, for that matter.

Just a Malaysian: They are using the trial to further discredit Anwar. What a judicial system... Umno style.

NC: Khairy is "unearthing" the past to show Anwar is someone who backstabs. That's why he marshalled in Lokman Noor Adam, Anwar's former associate S Nallakaruppan and now this veteran.

This will be used in GE14 - whatever it takes to keep Umno alive.

AntiRacial: It looks like they are using Khairy and the court to expose irrelevant matters to this case to create friction between Anwar and Mahathir.

Anonymous_40f4: Wasn't this clown Lenggeng assemblyperson Ishak Ismail the one who was declared bankrupt a year ago? How can an ex-bankrupt who was rescued by Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak from losing his seat, be testifying in court?

How shameless - where is your credibility?

Abasir: If nothing else, this case has amply exposed the quality of a typical Umno member - slimy, crude, vulgar, self-centred, shamelessly greedy, parasitic, ill bred, semi-literate and bereft of any honour.

Any wonder why Pencuri Malaysia is still ensconced in Putrid-Jaya?

Sarawakian: That is Umno-styled politics. I just wonder what is happening in Umno now. What is deputy president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, central committee member Nazri Aziz and others actually saying and doing behind Najib's back?

It can't be good. They are not dumb people.

Hopeful123: The past is past and nothing can be done about it. Let us all look forward to a bright future with all the opposition parties coming together. No amount of running down Anwar or Mahathir is going to stop it.

Let us all be united for a better future. That is the message.

KCW: It's obvious Umno is scared with the present Dr M - Anwar collaboration. Now Umno is resorting to divide and rule tactics.

Najib hails Felda as the world’s most successful agency

Abasir: After becoming the "world's best democracy", it follows that we now have the world's best "land development agency". I guess it is only humility that has stopped The Chosen One from reminding everyone that Malaysia is also South-East Asia's best kleptocracy and the first one in the world which caused an American attorney-general to personally appear before the world's press to announce the sordid findings of her investigations.

Matteropong: All Felda settlers especially in Kedah have to bear the sweet promises from the Umno government, but yet they have to face interrupted water supply for decades, low education among their second generation, rampant drug abuse and extreme poverty with the majority earning less than RM1,000.00 a month after housing aid deduction.

Warrant Addict: This is what we call 'angkat bakul' or self-praise. Felda Global Ventures (FGV) shares collapsed from a high of RM5.35 when it debuted in June 2012 to RM2.43 now according to Bursa Malaysia.

Many uncles and grandpas got stuck and are suffering.

Mosquitobrain: Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak is as usual having the 'syiok sendiri' syndrome. Compare fruit yields, Africa practices GAP and their acreage produces higher yields than Felda.

In terms of output, Africa will override Malaysia in the next decade or so. By then, Felda if not going into 'red', would probably be known as 'China-FGV'.

Chipmunk: MO1's boldness in siphoning out billions of the rakyat's money also speaks volumes. His deeds have brought Malaysia to the world map for being the most corrupt countries. Why bring in Africa and make comparison?

Compare ourselves with Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia and America and then see where you stand. You can con the kampung folks but not the educated. So stop insulting our intelligence.

GE14Now: There is no one left to praise him, so he has to do it himself.
