PAS president Hadi Abdul Awang is “resting” at the National Heart Institute (IJN) and his health is improving, said Nasrudin Hasan, following reports that the Islamist leader was unwell.

The PAS information chief said Hadi's hectic schedule had left him fatigued, but the break should see his health restored.

“He is resting at IJN and is undergoing regular follow-up care to manage his health levels,” said Nasrudin in a statement today.

Earlier today, Bernama reported that Hadi PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang's ill health had forced him to restrict his commitment to attend programmes.

Yesterday, Hadi, who would deliver his weekly lecture every Friday morning at Masjid Rusila, Marang, shortened his usual two-hour lecture to an hour.
