Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) director of investigations Azam Baki has been appointed the new deputy chief commissioner (operations), effective today.
In a statement, the MACC said Azam, 53, replaced Shukri Abdull who officially retired last night.
Meanwhile, MACC Community Education Division director Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil, 55, has been appointed deputy chief commissioner (prevention), also effective today.
He replaces Mustafar Ali who is currently Immigration Department director-general.
Both Azam and Shamshun were helming the positions as acting deputy chief commissioners.
