Water supply in the Petaling, Hulu Langat, Sepang and Kuala Langat reservoirs is expected to achieve optimum level in stages, beginning today.

Kumpulan Air Selangor corporate communications unit head, Amin Lin Abdullah said the water treatment plant in Sungai Semenyih began operations since 11 last night.

"As part of efforts to ensure water supply is distributed efficiently during the restoration period, water will be supplied based on a schedule to affected areas.

"Water will be supplied to zones, which are scheduled to receive water supply at 4pm today," he said in a statement.

Amin Lin said static water tanks would also be placed at critical premises which required continuous water supply.
The water treatment plant in Sungai Semenyih was forced to shut down yesterday at 10am due to odour pollution in Sungai Semenyih.

As a result, several areas in the four districts experienced water disruption.
