An aide to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's wife Rosmah Mansor has criticised a report in the DAP organ Rocketkini regarding his meeting with DAP elected representatives at a Permata centre in Kuala Lumpur.

"Following the meeting, we are glad the conclusion made by DAP leaders is that the Permata programme (whose patron is the prime minister's wife) is beneficial to society.

"However, the Rocketkini report (on the meeting) is insincere," said Rizal Mansor in a Facebook posting.

The Rocketkini article was titled 'Akaun Permata tidak dibentang di pertemuan anjuran pembantu Rosmah' (Permata's accounts were not tabled during the meeting organised by Rosmah's aide).

Rizal said the session conducted by the Permata management concerned an explanation regarding the programme and its achievements.

"Also tabled was the expenditure for the programme, including the amount of expenses and how the expenses are distributed.

"Yesterday's session was not to audit the accounts," he added.

Rizal pointed out that as a federal agency, Permata’s accounts are checked by the National Audit Department and is included in the annual auditor-general’s report.

"For Roketkini's information, Permata does not audit its own accounts,” he added.

Rizal said he also informed DAP state assemblyperson Yeo Bee Yin, who attended the meeting, that she needed to hold a press conference to explain the issues he (Rizal) raised.

"The presence of Yeo and her friends proved that they accepted my condition. However, Yeo yesterday submitted a 10-page paper to me without any explanation.

"Once again, I wish to reiterate that DAP does not have a monopoly on seeking transparency," he added.

Apart from Yeo, the other DAP representatives who attended were Selangor state assembly speaker Hannah Yeoh, Serdang MP Ong Kian Meng and Pulau Tikus state assemblyperson Yap Soo Huey.

Whereas BN leaders who were present included Langkawi MP Nawawi Ahmad and Wanita MCA chief Heng Seai Kie.
