Water disruption in KL due to damaged equipment
Several areas in Kuala Lumpur had to go without water since yesterday to allow replacement works of damaged equipment at Pudu Ulu reservoir.
Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) in a statement today said the affected areas were Taman Kencana, Taman Pandan Indah, Taman Pandan Indah Komersial, Taman Maju Jaya, Taman Pandan Perdana and Taman Cheras Indah.
It said the repair works were being expedited to accelerate water supply restoration to the areas.
"Relief water supply will be delivered by tanker trucks to the affected areas," it said.
Syabas expects the water disruption to be fully restored by this evening.
Meanwhile, it was reported that several areas in Klang are currently experiencing temporary water disruption due to a burst water pipe behind Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Pin Hwa in Setia Alam.
Syabas said pipe repair works were being expedited and water supply was expected to recover gradually after 11am tomorrow.
The areas involved are Bukit Tinggi 1, Bukit Tinggi 2, Bandar Botanik, Ambang Botanik, Bayu Emas, Bandar Parkland, Glenmarie Cove, Bandar Puteri Klang, Bandar Putera, Taman Bayu Perdana, entire Sentosa, and Rantau Panjang.
The rest are Telok Kapas, Bandar Sultan Suleiman Phase 1,2 and 3, Northport, Tanjung Harapan, Sultan Mohamed Industrial Area, Sungai Siren and Sungai Puloh Industrial Area.
