Dr M: Slight nudge and three BN state gov’ts would fall
Anonymous #66797900: Never underestimate former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad. Fear is running down the spine of Malaysian Official 1 (MO1) and all the clowns around him.
This statement by Mahathir will make the house of cards fall one by one. Umno 's days are numbered. Only Dr M can save this nation so let's give him our full backing, regardless of race.
Once a coalition government is formed between PKR, DAP and Amanah, we will have a truly Malaysian coalition unlike Umno-dominated current government.
If we miss this opportunity due to our grudges against Dr M, and there are many, we will be cutting our nose to spite our face. Good luck Bersatu.
Headhunter: More needs to be done to crack the BN fortress. One of them is to expose all the alleged corruption that BN politicians, their immediate families and cronies are involved in. Their lifestyles tell it all.
The easiest to spot are the cars they own and the houses they live in. Their overseas holidays, the handbags and jewellery their wives wear, not forgetting the expensive watches they themselves wear.
These leeches who blatantly show off their ill-gotten wealth can be spotted easily. Human nature is such that when you have plenty of money that you didn't earn, you tend to be spendthrifts.
In countries like New Zealand, the Inland Revenue Department will send their officers to check on your lifestyle even, especially when you buy an expensive car.
They will send their officers to tail you and secretly keep watch on your house if they suspect you are evading tax or are involved in corrupt practice. Our corrupt politicians are not even shy at displaying their wealth.
6th Generation Immigrant: "Last time, I thought they know nothing about administration but to the contrary, when they became the government, they managed to do a lot of good things, particularly for the poor."
Perhaps Malaysians can consider this statement as another of the many subtle form of apologies Mahathir has made regarding the previous excesses of his era.
We should give this past-90-year-old man a chance to correct the wrongs and make peace with Malaysians, himself and his Maker.
Anonymous 2435031475570183: Some said we should take this as an apology from Mahathir. How funny it is.
People can change in one second just because of the lure of power. Just see the drama that has been created by this old man.
Epitaph: He is an old man and has no personal aspirations but cares for the future. If even an alleged former crook cannot tolerate what's happening now, then it's serious.
Don't cry for Malaysia but pray for a better Malaysia as it was in the early 60s - harmonious, happy people under good governance.
Anonymous_1419577444: That old man is still very shrewd at his age. Just by making that statement, someone else has diarrhoea in his pants. Now he has to give more ‘gravy’ to the state assemblypersons to keep them within BN.
And the happiest lot are these assemblypersons - no need to do a lot and can get a lot more ‘gravy’. They are probably wishing Dr M would say things like that every week so they get more ‘gravy’ every week.
Anonymous Hotplate: As much as it is easy for the BN state governments to fall with a few defections, it is also very easy for Najib Abdul Razak and his Umno gang to pay millions to stop those defectors from jumping over because Umno's shameless assemblypersons are living for 'dedak' (animal feed) and 'free' money.
Rick Teo: Please don’t forget Negeri Sembilan. It only needs two assemblypersons to cross over to the opposition and we have a new government.
DAP should look into this possibility. Appoint one of the present Umno reps to be MB and ask him to bring three state assemblypersons and the BN government falls.
Alunan Ombak: Nothing is impossible. It can be done if the public and opposition start to do some hard work behind the scenes. Don't miss this golden chance.
It is definitely better than folding our arms, doing nothing, or just asking God, or Allah, for help. If we do nothing, we have already failed before we even get started.
Falcon: It is great to plan the fall of any allegedly corrupt government, but what happens afterwards? Who picks up the pieces?
The opposition is still very fragmented and having their own set of issues. Let’s not be too hasty. Let’s focus on the plan on how we make our country great again.
SaLMI: Before this, jailed opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim had planned for BN MPs from East Malaysia to jump to opposition parties, but he failed. Now, Mahathir also thinks the same way. But maybe he has not enough confidence to do it.
He is boasting because it is partly to get people to join his new party Bersatu. Let’s wait and see what will happen soon.
Doc: The so-called cracks in Umno can easily be mended by sticky ringgit notes. Najib is fully aware of this quick-fix method.
VP Biden: Mahathir forgot PAS is in Umno’s camp, so it's mission impossible.
