Don’t expect Arul to respond to Pua’s assertions

YOURSAY | ‘Oh, he will pretty much avoid it, as he has been doing all along.’

Pua punches holes in Arul Kanda’s 1MDB 'facts’ for students

SusahKes: The gripe that I have with 1MDB chief Arul Kanda's "explanations" for the "anesthetised" (?) crowd at Universiti Malaya, is that they are so easy to debunk. And that is precisely what Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua is doing.

I mean, I thought an investment banker would have more solid and redoubtable version of the facts, as part of his factsheet for the briefing. Perusing Arul's explanation, however, one could easily see through the mirage.

But how would Arul response to Pua's assertions? Oh, he will pretty much avoid it, as he has been doing all along.

Goldee: Arul can go around and say whatever he pleases, but one thing for sure – the 1MDB fiasco is real, otherwise countries like Singapore, Switzerland and others would not have probed this mother of all scandals.

Why the Malaysian authorities not bothered to pursue after all the culprits despite billions of the taxpayers' money was allegedly siphoned out from 1MDB.

Our finance minister kept very silent and said nothing. He made no effort to initiate any action to recover all the money allegedly misused by the culprits. He hoped and wished the 1MDB scandal will die of natural death.

RM2.6 Billion Turkey Haram: Arul, the country is already saturated with lies from the leaders, and another addition is one too many.

The fact that you can allegedly tell so many lies to university students shows that you have no respect for them. They are eager to know what really went wrong with 1MDB, but you were not helpful.

You were trying to cover up the stench from the rots of 1MDB, which has permeated to every corner of the earth. No, Arul. Even though you can use lorries load of perfume, it still smells rotten.

Ferdtan: Pua described Arul’s explanation to Universiti Malaya students as “hogwash.” The ‘facts” that Arul gave to ‘brainwash’ the students must have connoted from Harry Potter’s ‘Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry’. Why?

Well, it is magic, isn’t it, when fiction can be easily turned into ‘facts’? If the students can believe every words of Arul, hook, line, and sinker (without further checking the facts), then they are not fit to be the undergraduates of premier university.

'No spin, we want answers,' students tell 1MDB

Vision2020: The Special Affairs Department (Jasa) brainwashing the university students on 1MDB scandal through Arul as their spokesman will not work, unless MO1 (Malaysian Official 1) can personally rebuke all the allegations by Wall Street Journal, Sarawak Report, US Department of Justice (DOJ) and Swiss and Singapore banking authorities regarding those questionable 'donations' and the siphoning of hard-earned taxpayers’ money, the retirement fund of veterans of the Armed Forces as well as the religious savings of Muslim Malaysians.

Headhunter: Well, it looks like the students are smarter than they thought. "If you print money on one side and not the other, it is not valid is it?" Very well said, young man.

And why is Jasa wasting public money to organise such a brainwashing event? They should not get involved least people think the organisation is run by idiots.

Godfearing: With so much to hide, how can anyone expect honest answers from the 1MDB chief?

Odin Tajué: The Malaysian government has been squandering what could have been millions through Jasa alone to what amounts to covering the disgusting sight and utterly revolting smell of a mountain of 1MDB excreta with a totally transparent, A4-size piece of plastic sheet.

Jasa has been doing such things as printing pamphlets/books with ‘questions and (untruthful) answers’ on the alleged multi-billion-dollar scam, and organising its "Veracity Tour" that covered Australia earlier this year.

The university students’ response to this last festival of falsehood conducted by a tri-tined-tongue master of ceremonies amply illustrates what a futile, wasteful exercise it all is.

The Analyser: How sad. These poor students have been brainwashed all their lives and when someone different comes along to brainwash them, they called it foul.

Real thinking students would be questioning everything, not only the stuff that someone else told them. In the light of how Malaysians society functions, what Arul did was perfectly acceptable.

After all, isn’t that what Bersih chief Maria Chin and the yellow shirts are doing?

Mahsuri: Yet more hypocrisy, hate and attempts at derailing the truth by The Analyser.

In light of the recent fines and closure of banks that handled 1MDB related transactions in Singapore, criminal investigations on bankers, banks and individuals who facilitated the alleged stealing of funds from 1MDB by Swiss and Singaporean authorities, DOJ's ongoing civil action (which will soon mushroom into criminal prosecutions), he still has the cheek to claim that Malaysians are being feeble minded.
