Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) president Muhyiddin Yassin has questioned Dewan Rakyat speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia's ruling to bar queries on the US Department of Justice's (DOJ) lawsuits involving 1MDB.

Pandikar had said such questions could not be asked due to sub judice, but Muhyiddin isn't entirely convinced.

"There are a lot of people outside, speaking about (DOJ) everyday.

"I spoke at all the forums and explained to people what it's all about, and the need for parties concerned to face the law because it is a very serious scandal.

"(So) how could the parliamentarians not be allowed to discuss this?" Muhyiddin asked when met at the Parliament lobby today.

He said he understood that Pandikar's ruling was final, but appealed to him to reconsider.
