RM4b paid to highway concessionaires between 1990 and 2015

The federal government has paid RM4.072 billion in compensation to 28 highway concessionaires following the delay or restructuring of toll rates.
This was revealed in an answer by the Works Ministry, to Sepang MP Mohamed Hanipa Maidin yesterday.

The highway that the government paid the highest compensation for was the Damansara-Puchong Highway at RM1.049 billion. This was followed by a total of RM917.18 million for the North-South Expressway, and after that the Sprint Highway (RM443.93 million).
