The Bersih convoy heading from Batu Pahat to Muar, Johor was briefly blocked by a group of red-shirts, as depicted in a couple of live videos posted by the Facebook page 'Bersih 5 Johor' today.

The first video, lasting 56 seconds, shows a red-shirt member speaking to one of the drivers of the Bersih convoy, and asking them to turn back.

"Please, turn back. Over here, we do not accept Bersih," the man, sporting a red shirt and cap, said in the video which was purportedly taken at Sarang Buaya, Muar.

In the much longer second video, which lasted nearly nine minutes, a group of red-shirt members can be seen asking every Bersih convoy vehicle to turn back.

While this was happening, traffic seemed to be building at the road, which appeared to have only one lane in both directions.

Eventually, the Bersih convoy parked at the side of the road while several participants were shown discussing with the red-shirts.

The Bersih participant who was recording the live video can be heard telling the red-shirts as well as some locals who were observing the incident that their homes were up ahead.

After speaking to some of the locals, the participant said the roadblock imposed by the red-shirts was also holding up a wedding being held nearby.

Towards the end of the video, a Bersih participant and a red-shirt, who had been in discussion, appeared to hug each other.

"Okay, go. The yellow-shirts can go," the man in the red shirt shouted at his group from across the street.

The Bersih convoy then departed the area without any further incident, according to the video.

Bersih’s seven-week convoy, an awareness campaign for the Nov 19 mass rally, has seen several clashes between them and the red-shirts, since it was launched on Oct 1.

This includes an incident where a Bersih participant on a motorcycle was surrounded and assaulted by a group of red-shirts, as well as another incident where journalists were roughed up by anti-Bersih protesters.
