Malaysian wins Hong Kong comedy competition
Malaysian comedian and musician Hannan Azlan has reportedly won first place at an international comedy competition in Hong Kong.
According to the website The Daily Seni yesterday, the 22-year-old woman had won HK$40,000 (RM21,538) and a comedy tour of the United States as her prize for clinching the 10th Annual Hong Kong International Comedy Festival.
The first runner-up was Benjamin Quinlan from Hong Kong and Australia, while the second runner-up was Garron Chiu from Hong Kong and the US. The competition ended on Oct 22.

According to the report, this is the second time a Malaysian has won the Annual Hong Kong International Comedy Festival, after Dr Jason Leong won the same competition in 2013.
Meanwhile at a separate competition, Malaysian comedian Harith Iskander has progressed to the semi-finals for a shot at the title of "Funniest Person in the World".
He will be going up against 19 other comedians in Helsinki, Finland, from all over the world on Dec 5.
