PAS has no problem if independent preacher Muhamad Rozaimi Ramle wants to reveal a tape about his discussion with party leaders regarding amendments to Act 355.

Syura Council member Khairuddin Aman Razali, who is also Kuala Nerus MP, said this when met in Parliament today.

“It is alright, there is no problem. We have met and exchanged views. Insya'allah this is how we meet and discuss. (The discussion) is positive where Rozaimi gave his views while we gave ours.”

Rozaimi, a lecturer with the Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris' Islamic studies, social sciences and humanities department, said on his Facebook yesterday that he was considering to reveal an audio clip about the discussion two days ago regarding the amendments to Act 355.

He claimed some quarters had been spreading inaccurate information about the meet.

This followed PAS Youth Legal and Human Rights (Juham) division director Wan Rohimi Wan Daud's write-up that appeared in Harakahdaily today.

"If hudud is Allah's commandment, thus isn't working towards implementing God's law and commandments compulsory for all Muslims.

"Within the confines of existing law, isn't it then compulsory to work for it? At least for the three offences that will be punishable with amendments to Act 355. All were stunned into silence by this question," wrote Wan Rohimi, who is also a lawyer.

The meeting was held following Rozaimi's criticism of certain PAS leaders who viewed that those who criticised PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang's Private Member's Bill, were "infidels".

Khairuddin said it was Wan Rohimi's right as an observer in the discussion to make such comments.

“I read the comment made by Wan Rohimi and it is his right as an adviser.”

Rozaimi had a meeting with several PAS leaders including secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan, information chief Nasrudin Hassan and Khairuddin himself. Also present was former Perlis mufti Juanda Jaya.
