Husni summoned by police for Dewan Rakyat speech

Former Finance Minister II Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah has been summoned to give a statement to the police at Bukit Aman today, for the speech he made in the Dewan Rakyat on 1MDB, after Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia said former ministers who spoke in the House breached the cabinet oath of secrecy.

However, former de facto law minister Zaid Ibrahim said neither Husni nor the other two former cabinet ministers, Muhyiddin Yassin and Mohd Shafie Apdal had committed any such crime, as the oath of secrecy only covers minutes of meetings.

Former Gopeng Wanita Umno cheif Hamidah Osman speculates that Husni may face the axe from Umno for speaking out on 1MDB.

KJ wants cops to close roads to prevent Bersih march

Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin has urged the police to shut down roads leading to Dataran Merdeka to stop Bersih 5 participants from marching to the historical square during the Nov 19 rally.

The youth and sports minister said Umno Youth members who join the rally will face disciplinary action, but they can join the anti-Bersih group the red-shirts, as long as they do not break the law.
