PAS will not work with "rubbish" that would spread mischief, despite the Islamist party being open and inclusive in political collaboration, said its information chief Nasrudin Hassan.

"Our experience in various form of tahaaluf siasi (political collaboration) have proven that PAS is an inclusive party," he said in a statement today.

"PAS, however, will not allow itself been pushed by greedy political rogues and adventurers," he said without naming any party.

"Despite being open, (we) will not accept rubbish that would spread mischief and should be avoided […]," he added.

He noted that politic parties and media practitioners are observing PAS, waiting for the Islamist party to state its stand or make decisions on the strategy for the next general election.

"A straight fight or multi-cornered fights (in the general election) can only be derived from the (correct) political attitude. It (straight fights) is not the main issue here.

"PAS is ready to face any possible outcome," he said.

PAS is steadfast in defending its policy and Islamic principles while open to anyone who is prepared to accept and respect its policy and principle of struggle, he said.

"PAS will not allow our household to been disturbed again. We will not sacrifice our principles of struggle," he said.

"PAS has never closed our door to any civilised guest that respects and upholds its dignity," he added.

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has said the party would negotiate with other opposition parties to ensure straight fights against BN in the next general election.

However, Hadi said this was on condition those that PAS negotiate with “do not disturb the PAS household".

Harapan secretariat chief Saifuddin Abdullah said invitations have been sent to PAS and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) to attend Harapan's convention on Nov 12.

Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin also announced that PAS has agreed to hold discussions over an electoral pact, and described this as a step forward.
