RM172m seized from 1,037 civil servants, GLC staff
Authorities have seized a total of RM171.77 million from 1,037 government and government-linked company staff who were detained for corruption and money laundering from 2014 till September this year.
Breaking the figures down, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Paul Low said in 2014, 225 civil servants and two GLC staff were nabbed, over graft amounting to RM113.4 million.

Breaking the figures down, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Paul Low said in 2014, 225 civil servants and two GLC staff were nabbed, over graft amounting to RM113.4 million.
Last year, RM30.78 million was seized from 398 government officers and seven GLC employees who were arrested, he said.
Meanwhile, between January and September this year, 388 public servants and 17 GLC staff were arrested, and RM27.55 million was seized from them.
Low said this in a written parliamentary reply dated last Tuesday.
He was responding to a query from Tan Kok Wai (DAP-Cheras) regarding statistics of civil servants and GLC staff involved in corruption.
The MACC has made a series of high-profile public corruption busts over the last few months.
The commission made its biggest bust last month, seizing cash and assets worth RM115 million from two top officials in the Sabah Water Department.
