PAS' rally ahead of Bersih 5 a 'coincidence'
Selangor PAS said the decision to hold a rally a week ahead of Bersih 5 was a mere a coincidence.
The rally, dubbed the Himpunan Ledakan Suara Rakyat (Lasak), was not meant to "challenge" Bersih 5, said Selangor PAS leader Iskandar Abdul Samad.
"Nov 13 was chosen (for Lasak) because (the date was) after (the tabling of) Budget 2017 and the budget for the Selangor government.
"The event will provide an opportunity for the people to air their views on (both) budgets," he said.

Lasak will be held at a field in Taman Medan, Petaling Jaya from 8am to 1pm.
Iskandar said Lasak designed to allow party leaders to hear from the rakyat.
"There will be representatives from youth, educators, women, army veterans, workers, petty traders, farmers, fishermen, artists, home buyers and students.
"This rally is important because there are several recent developments that are affecting the public," said Iskandar.
He urged the public to attend in order to voice their displeasure at BN over the rising cost of living.
He said the newly appointed PAS spiritual leader Hashim Jasin would be delivering the closing speech at Lasak.
