If investigations reveal that red-shirts leader Jamal Md Yunos filed a false report, then action will be taken against him, said inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar.

"I have issued a warning before that police would not tolerate those who file reports for political mileage and burden us.

"We are investigating the incident, if it is found that Jamal deliberately pinned the blame on others, then he would face action," he told Malaysiakini.
