Red-shirts leader Jamal Mohd Yunos and two other red-shirt activists have been remanded for four days by the Ampang Magistrate's Court.

The other two detained are Arifin Abu Bakar and Abdul Razak Hassan.

They arrived at the Ampang Magistrate's Court at about 1.45am and left about 2.20pm after the remand was made.

As Jamal was escorted to the patrol car he said "Hidup merah".

According to red-shirts legal adviser Mohd Imran Tamrin, the trio will be detained at Shah Alam detention centre.

"They are being investigated following the ruckus at Ampang Point," he said.

Investigations on all three are being classified under Section 147 for rioting, Section 186 (for obstruction of a public officer) and Section 353 of the Penal Code for (using criminal force to deter a public servant from discharging his duty).

They were represented by lawyers Khairul Anuar Kashim and Mohd Nasir Yusof.

Imran told reporters that two other red-shirt activists had also been arrested by Kuala Lumpur police and were held at the Jinjang detention centre but he did not know the reason for their arrest.

He said Jamal and the two are in good spirits

Imran further described that the red-shirts gathering went well without any provocation.

"The red secretariat is monitoring it from afar," he said.
