Dr Mahathir Mohamad's blossoming political alliance with his former chief critic Lim Kit Siang is a classic case of a political "U-turn", said Umno supreme council member Abdul Rahman Dahlan.

He said this in his response to Lim's latest statement that labelled Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak as the "U-turn King" over how the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma) could be applied.

However, Rahman said the "U-turn King" title should be bestowed on the DAP leader because he was now allied with the former prime minister, despite decades of bitter animosity.

"That title should be exclusively yours with your new found 'bromance' with Tun M, who you used to call the most corrupted PM ever and forever," the minister wrote on Twitter.
