Shah Alam MP Khalid Abdul Samad's defamation suit against former Selangor exco member Hasan Mohamed Ali will go for trial on Monday, after final efforts at mediation failed today.

The trial will be before Justice Hue Siew Kheng.

Khalid's lawyer Faiz Fadzil said while both of them were present today before the deputy registrar, they failed to reach a settlement through mediation, which included an apology and damages.
