Does this mean Khairy supports thuggish behaviour?

YOURSAY | ‘The usual rhetoric, always blaming others and outsiders for their own fault and stupidity.’

Bersih, Dr M, Soros bogeymen top agenda for Umno wings

Astounded: So, Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, what have you to say now? You have earlier said that the attack on Zunar in Komtar has nothing to do with Umno.

Also Nazri Abdul Aziz, you asked that Umno should not be judged by the actions of a few violent Umno members. Now you have it. The official approval of violent acts of Umno Youth.

JChong: Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin, we hope your children will grow up like Khairul Azwan Harun, Rafizal Abdul Rahim, Zainuri Zainal and Armand Azha Abu Hanifa. All the best to you.

Anonymous_1388029052: The usual rhetoric, always blaming others and outsiders for their own fault and stupidity.

Are these delegates so blind to the rampant corruption amongst their leaders, the very low educational standards especially in Science and Maths (so much so that our country is ranked among the bottom in the company of Botswana and Lebanon), the many thousands of unemployed and low-quality Malay graduates, the rising cost of living and the rising crime rates, etc?

Discuss and debate all these important issues.

Retnam: Usually this annual circus will be an orgy of racial attacks against the Chinese. This time, the focus is to attack Dr Mahathir Mohamad (which he fully deserves), George Soros (none of the monkey clowns there know who this guy is) and Bersih (it hit them where it hurts).

But habits don't just vanish. Over the next few days of this circus, Chinese bashing will go on full swing.

RR: The ringgit is badly down, retrenchment everywhere, companies closing down or downsizing, poor cannot make ends meet especially the Malays, yet rhetoric after rhetoric by half-baked Umno leaders at their general assembly that there are enemies from within and without Umno.

Anonymous_40f4: With the current obscene gerrymandering by Umno Baru’s Election Commission (EC), Najib and Umno Baru don’t need Chinese votes to win and remain in power. It’s now one vote for Umno Baru equals 10 votes for the opposition.

The illegal gerrymandering has violated the constitution but Umno Baru doesn’t care, it is about cheating and winning.

So, for those who think or dream of changing this arrogant and allegedly corrupt government through elections, please don’t waste your time going out to vote.

The change is never ever going to happen. This is not America, it is a dirty banana republic.

Appum: I wonder when they are coming out with something positive to unite the people and turn the economy round.

The Umno assembly is nothing but an elocution contest to see who can spew the most.

God helps Malaysia: I am lost without words. Looking at a bunch of self-serving and self-enriching hypocrites who point all fingers to others for their own problems and not looking within to solve their own crisis. God, please help Malaysia.

JusticeNow!: Umno’s biggest problem is missing the point and living in a world of their own ‘sandiwara’, while the real issues of living in Malaysia are never mentioned.

The ringgit has lost 70 percent of its value against the Singapore dollar, our tiny next door neighbour has next to nothing in resources.

Why? Umno is responsible because it has held power since independence. Why don't they debate and look at this single and biggest problem?

Are they waiting for Malaysia to become Zimbabwe?

Khalid says more may be arrested over foreign funds

Gerard Lourdesamy: It’s better for the inspector-general of police (IGP) not to issue any public statements because each time he opens his mouth, the public are more certain about the lack of professionalism, integrity and ethics in the police force.

Was Najib arrested before he explained the RM2.6 billion alleged donation that he received was from a Saudi prince? The US Department of Justice (DOJ) has now established that the donation was a fake and that the money was from 1MDB, did the IGP then record a further statement from Najib?

Does the IGP know that the Open Society Foundations (OSF) is subject to regulatory control in the US? Did he check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on the status and objectives of the OSF?

Is the IGP aware that the OSF funds Palestinian NGOs opposed to Israel in the Occupied Territories much to the annoyance of the Jewish lobby in the US, who have accused American billionaire George Soros of being anti-Zionist?

And what is so great about Russia that we must emulate what ‘dictator’ Vladimir Putin does there? Has the IGP forgotten the direct role Russia played in the shooting down of MH17 over Ukraine?

Vijay47: So Russia has disallowed OSF? How about the fact that OSF operates in at least 37 countries?

Leaving mundane comparisons aside, is your warning in respect of funds from the wide world or only from non-Arabic sources? Maybe dirhams are okay, not dollars. Bersih chief Maria Chin would want to know.

Incidentally, she never denied that Bersih did get some funds from OSF. What of it; does the mere fact that someone comes under your inquisitive eye at once accord him criminal status?

IGP Khalid Abu Bakar, you seem to have acquired a new quaint habit of coming out with fresh threats each week. ‘Game of Thrones’ was never this exciting.

Anonymous 1890491455255851: So Arab 'donation' is not considered a foreign fund? This is the kind of selective harassment that bothers people - double standards constantly at play.

What Umno-BN does is always acceptable, but if the same is done by someone not in the fraternity, it's seen as seditious or a threat to parliamentary democracy.

Thickskin: Yes, does the IGP mean the PM may be arrested soon? After all, he received the most foreign funds in the world.
