Pakatan Harapan will discuss next Tuesday the matter of using a single logo and manifesto for the opposition alliance in the next general election, said Amanah deputy president Salahuddin Ayub.

"Our common goal and objective is coming up with one logo to face BN," he told the media at the Amanah Convention today in Shah Alam.

"There are two steps (in doing so), we will formalise it by submitting our suggestion to the Registrar of Societies (ROS). If ROS ignores us or rejects it, we have to decide maybe to choose one of the party's symbol," he said.

Harapan will also discuss the formal cooperation between the coalition and Bersatu.

"On Dec 13, we will form a new coalition first with (the joining of) Bersatu. If Bersatu agrees to join us, then there will be a new coalition. We have four parties already," he said.

Earlier, Amanah president Mohamad Sabu said the party, together with Harapan and Bersatu were committed in forming an opposition alliance to face Umno and BN in the next polls, using one logo and one manifesto.

Meanwhile, Salahuddin said as of today, Harapan’s door to work together with PAS is still open.

“The door is open to any party to join Harapan. For me, maybe (the door should) open until the end of this year,” he said.

“Time is running fast, the general election is around the corner. The parties need to be firm to ensure the people this is the opposition coalition that will face BN,” he said.

“Thus, we cannot all the time stay in limbo,” he said.

He said Amanah will bring up in the next presidential council meeting that Harapan would only give PAS until the end of this month to decide where the Islamic party stands.

“For sure we will discuss this agenda. The deadline will be decided,” he said.
