Disrupted water supply has been restored to 99 per cent of the areas in Zone 1 by 9am today after the Sungai Selangor Water Treatment Plant Phase 1, 2 and 3 went into full operation.

Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) said in a statement that water supply had been fully restored in Kuala Lumpur, Gombak, Klang, Kuala Langat and Kuala Selangor and 98 per cent in Petaling.

It said that areas in that zone yet to have water supply fully restored were Sungai Penchala, Bukit Lanjan, Pinggiran TTDI and SS21 Damansara.

Syabas said areas in Zone 2 would have water supply restored after 4pm today.

It advised consumers in the zone yet to have water supply after 4pm to seek assistance by sending an SMS to 15300 by typing TANKER <space> name and address.

"Consumers are advised to use water sparingly to help expedite the restoration of water supply to the affected areas," it said.
