Man stabs cop after being mistaken for waiter
A police constable was stabbed in a scuffle yesterday after he ordered roti canai from a man he thought was a waiter at a restaurant at Selayang Point Condominium.
According to The Star, the man he ordered from ignored him as he was not restaurant staff.
As he was leaving, the man made a hand gesture to the constable, who is attached to the Bukit Aman Special Action Unit (UTK), it reported.
The constable, who was with three friends, chased the man, resulting in a scuffle at the condominium lobby, Gombak district police chief Ali Ahmad said.
The constable was stabbed in the stomach while the man suffered light injuries, The Star reported.
Two men, both aged 24, were arrested to assist investigations, while the constable was sent to Selayang Hospital for treatment, the daily reported.
