An alleged quarrel over the parking of a car in Sungei Way brought two couples to the Magistrate's Court in Petaling Jaya today.

Mechanic Nor Azalisam Wahi, 31, and his wife Siti Norhidayah Abdullah, 26, as well as Lim Koon Fook, 69, and his wife Sam Koi Ying, 65, were charged with committing an affray at 9.50am on Dec 29 last year.

They were alleged to have quarrelled and disturbed the peace in front of Lim's house in Sungei Way.

Nor Azalisam and Siti Norhidayah pleaded guilty and Magistrate Fadzlin Suraya Mohd Suah fined them RM1,000 each, in default three months' jail.

Lim and Sam claimed trial and the magistrate allowed them bail of RM2,500 each in one surety and set Feb 1 for mention of the case.

Nor Azalisam and Siti Norhidayah were represented by Raj Preet Kaur while DPP Khairul Aisamuddin Abdul Rahman appeared for the prosecution. Lim and Sam were not represented by counsel.
