Lingkaran Trans Kota Sdn Bhd (Litrak) has announced that the group will be giving toll discounts on Jan 28 in conjunction with the Chinese New Year.

Its communications department head Shah Rizal Mohamed Fawzi said all classes of vehicles would be given discounts on the Damansara-Puchong (LDP) and the Western KL Traffic Dispersal Link System (Sprint) highways.

However, he said, the toll discount would only be given to Class 1 vehicle owners on the Shah Alam (Kesas) Highway.

A 60 sen discount would be given to those travelling on the LDP, while Sprint Highway road users would enjoy a 20 sen discount from midnight to 11.59 pm on that day.

"A 10% toll discount will only be given to Class 1 vehicles owners plying the Kesas Highway," he told reporters during a Litrak Chinese New Year charity programme in Puchong today.

He said it was estimated that some 578,000 motorists travelling on these three highways would be enjoying the discounts offered by the respective concessionaires on this Chinese New Year.
