Traffic flow on several major highways was reported to be slow as at noon today as many have started leaving to their respective destinations for the holidays in conjunction with Chinese New Year which falls tomorrow.

According to a Plus Malaysia Berhad spokesperson, traffic flow to the north and south was reported to be slow, especially at the Menora Tunnel heading towards Jelapang , with the increase in traffic volume.

“Traffic is also slow along Behrang to Slim River, as well as from Sedenak to Simpang Renggam.

“The traffic situation is expected to be slow until midnight,” he said when contacted in Kuala Lumpur today.

Meanwhile a Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) spokesperson said traffic flow on the East Coast Highway (LPT) from both directions was reported to be smooth so far.
