A total of 18,522 flood victims are still at 197 flood relief centres (FRCs) in the states hit by floods as compared to 20,401 this morning.

Pahang and Johor recorded the highest figures followed by Sarawak, Perak, Kelantan, Selangor and Sabah.

In Pahang, some 1,000 victims were allowed to return to the homes, leaving the number of evacuees at 108 FRCs at 6,167, as compared to 7,198 in the morning.

Lipis had the highest number at 2,094 people followed by Jerantut (1,140), Temerloh (1,113), Rompin (1,003), Maran (247), Kuantan (156), Pekan (143), Raub (137) and Bera (134).

In JOHOR, 6,013 people are still at 66 FRCs in four districts, as compared to 6,852 in the morning.

Segamat, the worst hit district, still has 4,033 people at FRCs followed by Tangkak (1,528), Muar (443) and Kluang (nine).

There was no change in the number of evacuees at FRCs in Sarawak, still at 5,084 people from 769 families. The areas hit are Beluru, Niah and Marudi in Miri.

Rations costing a total of RM198,075 have been distributed to the victims since Wednesday.

In PERAK, 508 victims are still at eight FRCs as compared to 506 in the morning, with one FRC closed in Larut Matang.

In Kelantan, 355 victims are still at 11 FRCs in Kuala Krai, Gua Musang, Pasir Puteh and Tanah Merah, not much change from the 360 evacuees this morning.

The water level of Sungai Kelantan at Tangga Krai, Kuala Krai was reported to have risen to 25.35m as compared to 25.3m. The danger level is 25m.

As for Sungai Golok, the water level at Rantau Panjang rose to 9.45m up 0.03m since morning. The danger level is 9m.

In SABAH, 42 victims from nine families are still at the Dewan Kampung Binsulung FRC in the sub-district of Paitan.
