Gerakan president Mah Siew Keong today questioned DAP's stalwart Lim Kit Siang's reported intention to meet with him and MCA president Liow Tiong Lai, together with other to BN leaders.

In fact, Mah also said that Lim's intentions seems to be insincere, as the Gelang Patah MP only raised the matter in a press conference but did not issue any formal invitation.

"Today is Chinese New Year so I don't want to scold anyone. But if someone wants to meet, no one calls for a press conference and give a time frame between this time to that time, (and say) wants to meet Liow, wants to meet Mah.

"All (done) through a press conference. That (appears to be) insincere," Mah told reporters during a press conference at Gerakan's Chinese New Year open house in Kuala Lumpur.

"To me that is just his (Lim's) game. Why the need to talk to the media?," he asked.

Also present at the open house held at Gerakan's headquarters were Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and wife Rosmah Mansor, along with some 3,000 people.

Mah, meanwhile, stressed that he never received any invitation from Lim and only knew of the matter through media reports.

"No (invitation). I read in the newspaper, only then I knew," he said.

Last Tuesday, Lim had expressed readiness to even work with BN leaders towards the larger agenda of "Saving Malaysia" from kleptocracy - after he had caused a stir for offering an olive branch to PAS on the same grounds.
