Umno's Annuar Musa will present himself to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) immediately after his return from New Zealand tonight.

Taking to Facebook last night, the former Mara chairperson said he is obliged to offer his full cooperation to the anti-graft body.

"Although the 10-hour flight (from New Zealand) would be tiring, I'm glad to come home to meet my family, as well as media friends, with whom contact has been limited the past week, due to the distance.

"I hope to be at MACC office before it's open for the day so that they will have ample time to carry out their duty," the Ketereh MP posted.

Annuar also thanked Umno president Najib Abdul Razak and party secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor over their statements about his position as Umno information chief.

Tengku Adnan had remarked that Annuar's position was up to the party president to decide, while Najib had said that Annuar would keep the position for now, pending the probe by MACC.

"I have my own views on this and God willing, I will try to meet Umno president soon. For now, MACC first."

MACC has initiated a probe against Annuar over allegations of misappropriation and abuse of power.

This came after he was suspended from Mara and Pelaburan Mara Berhad (PMB) on Tuesday while an internal audit is conducted into allegations on the sponsorship of Kelantan Football Association by two Mara subsidiaries.
