Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor did not insult the Penang Yang di-Pertuan Negeri when he suggested the state be turned into a federal territory, said Gerakan Youth deputy chief Andy Yong.

He was responding to DAP's Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng, who accused Tengku Adnan, who is better known as Ku Nan, of insulting the ruler with his proposal.

Tengku Adnan in an interview yesterday also proposed Langkawi be turned into a federal territory.
