The White House released late yesterday a list of 78 terrorist attacks, including events such as December’s deadly truck assault at a Berlin Christmas market, that US President Donald Trump believes were “underreported”, local media said.

The list provides the city, month, year, target and attacker for the incidents, according to The Washington Post, which published the list online.

In addition to the Berlin attack, the list also includes major incidents such as the July truck attack in Nice; the June shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida; the December 2015 shooting in San Bernadino, California; and the November 2015 attacks in Paris.

The list covers a span of 28 months, from September 2014 to December 2016.

Earlier yesterday, Trump claimed that terror attacks were not receiving the media coverage they deserved.

“You’ve seen what happened in Paris and Nice, all over Europe it’s happening,” Trump said. “The very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it. They have reasons and you understand that.”

Later, White House spokesperson Sean Spicer said the president believed the attacks were “underreported”, rather than “unreported”, according to the Post.

Officials gave the list of attacks to reporters hours after Trump made the claim, according to The Hill.
