PAS veep: Do they want Hadi to slap Najib?

PAS vice-president Idris Ahmad has hit out against critics of the Islamist party, asking whether they expect its president Abdul Hadi Awang to go to the extent of slapping Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

Without mentioning names, Idris said this group of critics had made use of verse 113 of the Hud chapter from the Quran which states that one should not be with the wrong and unjust, as he or she would then be thrown in hellfire.

“Because Hadi held Najib’s hand during the rally in solidarity with the Rohingya and (PAS deputy president) Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man smiled during the flag off of a food flotilla for the Rohingya, they have accused that PAS leaders will be thrown into hell.

“Do they want Hadi to slap Najib for it to be considered the right thing to do? Wow, from which tafsir (book which explains the meaning of the Quran) did they learn this from?” asked Idris in a statement published on PAS mouthpiece Harakahdaily today.

"Based on this interpretation, would thousands of civil servants at the Prime Minister’s Department burn in hell, too?

“It’s the same with those who have relatives who are in Umno, would they, too, burn in hell?”
