A fully clothed body was found floating in a drain at Jalan Sungai Nangka, Banting at about 5.30 pm today.

Kuala Langat district police chief Supt Azizan Tukiman said there were no identification documents on the man, believed to be in his 30s.

"Based on the highly decomposed condition, police do not rule out the possibility that the man in grey shirt and blue jeans had died more than two days ago," he told Bernama today.

According to Azizan, there were no signs of injuries on the victim and police had classified the case as sudden death.

"The body was sent to Banting Hospital for a post-mortem. A detailed investigation including finger print analysis and checks on missing person records are being conducted to identify the victim," he added.

Azizan urged the public who have a missing family member or any information on the incident to contact the Kuala Langat police headquarters at 03-31872222 to facilitate investigations.
