Activists from the "Kuala Lumpur Tak Nak Insinerator" (KTI) group today failed to submit a petition containing 12,000 signatures to Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd (MRCB), protesting the Kepong incinerator project.

This was after MRCB, along with UEM Cenviro Sdn Bhd and Alam Flora Sdn Bhd, were reported to have been shortlisted in the bid for the controversial incinerator project in Taman Beringin, Kepong.

When the protesters arrived at the MRCB headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, 10 activists from KTI were not allowed to enter the building. Instead, an official from MRCB was sent to speak to the group, outside the building.
