Two DAP youth leaders have described as “harassment”, Abdul Rahman Dahlan's plan to find out if they had breached Section 29(4) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 (MACC Act).
The duo - Penang DAP councillors Satees Muniandy and David Marshall - were recently warned by the minister in the prime minister's department after they lodged a report with the MACC, about him allegedly abusing his power in a housing matter.
"It is clear that the minister wants to use his ministerial powers to turn the table against us for lodging the report," Satees said in a statement.
In the MACC report lodged on March 6, the duo had urged the commission to probe the alleged abuse of power by Rahman in granting a 12 months "extension of time" (EOT) to BHL Construction Sdn Bhd on two delayed housing projects, while he was the urban wellbeing, housing and local government minister in 2015 ...
