Najib attends closed-door meeting with Kelantan Umno leaders

Prime Minister Najib Razak who arrived for a two-day visit, last night attended a closed-door meeting with the Kelantan Umno liaison committee.

The Umno president was greeted on arrival by Kelantan Umno chief (International Trade and Industry Minister) Mustapa Mohamed .

Also present were Kelantan Umno deputy chief Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub (Deputy Rural and Regional Development Minister), Ashraf Wajdi Dusuki (Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department) and heads of divisions.

The meeting is expected to discuss the direction and preparation in facing the general election as well as current issues concerning the party.

Tomorrow, Najib is scheduled to attend the 'Jom Bantu Rakyat' programme, a groundbreaking ceremony for Bachok Hospital and launch the Kota Baru Urban Transformation Centre (UTC).

Later, he is expected to attend the 2050 National Transformation Dialogue Programme (TN50) at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Pengkalan Chepa.

The prime minister is expected to return to Kuala Lumpur this evening.
