DAP's Seputeh MP Teresa Kok has been urged to apologise for holding a demonstration at Taman Desa, Kuala Lumpur last week, which allegedly disrupted a wedding held nearby.

The bridal party said the shouting match happened after the demonstrators refused to budge, despite knowing a wedding was being held, but Kok said the incident flared up after Umno members joined the fray.

"As a local resident, I urge Kok apologise to the bride's family for her rudeness and that of the DAP supporters who do not understand the sensitivity of others.

"It is not difficult for a Malaysian to understand how to respect the customs of others. As an elected representative, Kok must apologise to the family and vow never to disrupt someone else's event or customs," Federal Territories Umno Youth chief Razlan Rafii said in a statement.
