MCA vice-president Chew Mei Fun has criticised a PAS lawmaker for proposing caning as a punishment for for out-of-wedlock pregnancies.

Chew said the proposal by PAS' Pasir Puteh MP Nik Mazian Nik Mohamad would only encourage baby dumping.
