Barisan Rakyat? Guan Eng to talk to partners first
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said he would verify news reports on Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia's (Bersatu) suggestion to rename "Pakatan Harapan" as "Barisan Rakyat" before forming an opinion.
"Sometimes, news reports are not accurate... (it could be) just a game played by the pro-BN media," Lim told reporters in Penang today.
He said that since Bersatu official became part of Harapan, leaders from the four parties have not met.

"Sometimes, news reports are not accurate... (it could be) just a game played by the pro-BN media," Lim told reporters in Penang today.
He said that since Bersatu official became part of Harapan, leaders from the four parties have not met.
Bersatu chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin had proposed the name "Barisan Rakyat" last night, although he did not explain the motives behind it.
Muhyiddin said his proposal required the agreement of allies DAP, Parti Amanah Negara and PKR.
Previously, Bersatu president Dr Mahathir Mohamad too had proposed a new name be thought up for Harapan and a common logo which the four parties could use.
Harapan, formed in 2015, officially accepted Bersatu into its fold last Monday. Party leaders also hope to have their coalition formally registered with the Registrar of Societies.
