Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor has told BN sceptics not to "cheat, bullshit and destroy" themselves by denying they benefited from the government's programmes and policies.

"Open your eyes, we've got a good government. Don't gamble your future just because you feel that you don't get anything.

"All of us have enjoyed the government's programmes, somehow or other. Don't deny and say you never got anything from this government.

"I tell you, you are cheating yourself, you are bullshitting yourself and towards the end, what I'm most worried about, is that you will be destroying yourself," Tengku Adnan said in a speech at the launch of Rumawip project Residensi Seri Wahyu in Kuala Lumpur today.

The Rumawip or Federal Territories Affordable Housing project, he said, was something the current government has done for the well-being of the rakyat, to ensure that every Kuala Lumpur resident has a chance to own property in Kuala Lumpur.

"We want everybody to be happy. We want people who live in Kuala Lumpur to also have conducive living and be happy in whatever they endeavour in the city.

"I would also like to apologise on behalf of the government, because at this present moment you have a lot of problems with traffic congestion but believe me, by the time it is all completed, you can see Kuala Lumpur transformed into a city that all Malaysians will be proud of," Tengku Adnan said.

The current government has developed the country through its policies and programmes to give the rakyat more opportunities, he said.

'We walk the talk'

Malaysians need only rise to the challenge, he said, to be able to live comfortably.

"If we don't rise to the challenge and we wait for things to fall into our laps, of course nothing will happen.

"All humans have to work hard, so I ask, please work hard.

"If you work hard, believe me, Malaysia is a country where it is easy to earn a living," he said.

Tengku Adnan said this was why many foreigners came to Malaysia to earn a living, with some of them doing even better than Malaysians.

"Why? Because they work hard. And we Malaysians are too complacent, maybe.

"The government is providing a lot of things for all of you. So Malaysia has become a country like this because we have been united in everything we do," he said.

He cautioned the people against listening to those who only talk about issues, but do not "walk the talk", unlike BN.

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has told them, he said, to go down to the ground and feel the pulse of the people.

"Ask what the rakyat want, not what the government wants.

"We walk the talk," Tengku Adnan added.

There is no perfect government in the world, he said, as everyone makes mistakes, including the Malaysian government.

"But with the leadership of Najib, he is a person who listens, corrects mistakes and moves forward.

"That is what our prime minister is doing at this present moment," he said.
