The price of RON95 petrol and diesel will go up by RM0.08 per litre beginning midnight.

Meanwhile, the price of RON97 petrol will see a hike of RM0.09 per litre. 

According to Sin Chew Daily and Oriental Daily news, the new price of RON95 and RON97 petrol will be RM2.24 and RM2.52 per litre respectively.

Diesel will be priced at RM2.16 per litre.

This is the second consecutive week in which petrol prices have increased, following the introduction of the weekly ceiling price mechanism introduced by Putrajaya.

Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Hamzah Zainuddin had speculated that the recent US airstrikes on Syrian airbases would have an impact on fuel prices.
