Hadi sues Sarawak Report editor, seeks 'substantial' damages

MUKTAMAR | PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has filed a defamation suit against Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown at the High Court in London over allegations that he received RM90 million from Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said the suit - filed on April 21 - seeks damages and an injunction on the article making the allegations.

"All these allegations are completely false. Such allegations clearly malign the reputation of someone, such as the PAS president," Takiyuddin said at a press conference in Alor Setar, Kedah today...
