Religious school alumni associations urged to set up network

The alumni associations of religious schools must work together to build and strengthen the development of these schools in the state.

Assistant minister to the Sabah chief minister, Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif, said the networking was necessary so that efforts to set up more religious schools in Sabah would be successful.

"I am confident that this alumni network could help the government set up religious schools which are better and more planned," he said.

He was speaking after the launch of the seventh annual general meeting of the Sekolah Islamiah Tawau (ASIST) in Tawau today.

He said alumni associations could also plan activities which could help the districts and state become the centre for the spread of Islamic civilisation.
