PAS Youth has denied any involvement with a widely-circulated poster about organising a protest against American metal band Megadeth's concert in Kuala Lumpur tomorrow.
Nevertheless, the wing is still opposed to the concert, questioning why a band, which was formerly barred from performing in Kuala Lumpur in 2001, has been allowed to hold a concert here this time.
"This Megadeth concert has been barred before, in 2001. It is understood that the basis for the ban was that the influence of their music would have negative effects on the fans.
"PAS Youth questions the authorities' stringency in handling this concert, even though the Entertainment Guidelines in Islam have clearly been endorsed," PAS Youth information chief Hishamuddin Abdul Karim said in a statement today...
