Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali has denied there is a spat between PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli and Ampang PKR Youth chief Adam Rosly Abdullah.

The PKR deputy president blamed the media instead.

"There is no spat. This is perhaps 'permainan media' (the media's game)," he said when quizzed on the matter during a press conference in Shah Alam this afternoon.

Mohamed Azmin chose to dismiss the issue despite Adam issuing a media statement claiming that numerous party leaders and activists had grown tired of Rafizi.

He also demanded that Rafizi reveal the funds collected for his NGOs Invoke and National Oversight and Whistleblower (NOW).

Hours later, Rafizi disclosed the financial statements for both entities.

Prior to that, Adam had criticised Rafizi for calling on PKR to distance itself from the Youth leader's court case.

Kudos for going on leave

The businessman, who was charged with providing false statements and documents related to his wealth, had claimed that Rafizi did not respect the maxim of being innocent until proven otherwise.

There was speculation that the spat could be related to the differences between Mohamed Azmin and Rafizi, but the latter denied this.

Meanwhile, Azmin told reporters this afternoon that Adam had made the right decision to go on leave from his party post pending his court case.

"We accept his decision. It is the correct decision because (the case) will not be linked to the party and we have to respect the legal process.

"A person is innocent until found guilty in a court of law. He has the right to defend himself," added the menteri besar.
